    Plans are in the works for activities for local Muncie children for music in our schools month.  If you would like to volunteer your time to run a booth at are music carnival, please contact Matthew Rooney.

    Ryan Hourigan will be speaking on Wednesday Feb. 28th about children with special needs.  Free Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches will be provided to all who come.  As always, professional development is available.

   

 

February 19th, 2007

   MENC is happy to announce that Dr. Robert Gillespie will be on Ball State's Campus on April 18th and 19th.  The MENC meeting will take place on April 18th at 5:00pm in Choral Hall.  We are hoping to arrange a small "test group" for Dr. Gillespie to show how to use his beginning string teaching books.  Dr. Gillespie will also teach Dr. Turner's String Technique's Class and will attend Hamilton South Eastern with Bend Yoder.  This event is being cosponsored by BSU's chapter of ASTA.

   Keith Ziolkowski was voted in to the IMEA Board of Directors - Collegiate Position on Saturday January 20th, 2007 at 12:30pm.  Keith will be representing Ball State University and the state of Indiana for a two year term.  To contact Keith e-mail him at KMZIOLKOWSKI@bsu.edu or join the new facebook group entitled "Indiana Music Educators Association - Collegiate Level".

   Keith Ziolkowski named the BSU - IMEA college representative candidate.  Make sure to get to the IMEA Convention and to vote for Keith during the Collegiate Luncheon.

 

November 26th, 2006

   The BSU chapter of MENC is offering five full scholarships to the IMEA convention.  Each scholarship covers the cost of registration for the convention.  All forms are due by Friday December 8th, 206 to Dr. Scheib in office MU205.  This is a great opportunity to get a "free ride" to one of the best music conventions in the state.
